The Battlefield 3 beta is entirely swing and in the weekend some clever chaps decided to make a mod for your PC version from the game..The gamers modded the Operation Metro map to support 128 players instead with the standard 32 because why not right We knew these things were likely to happen but that which you may not have seen coming was EA and DICEs response..According to Rock Paper Shotgun In an official statement about the forum which now appears like its been pulled they claimed that playing around the hacked servers can ca use your money to become compromised stats to get altered or any other issues to arise which can result in having your money being banned by EA. If your money does get banned it mean every other EA game you've got on the account would also be unavailable..YIKES That is a serious punishment. Especially considering some of the mods are popping up inside the official Battlelog browser. Considering that DICE has now come to the Battlefield 3 is meant for your PC and being hand-crafted for your PC I understand they're protective with their product. But punishing the consumers who pay to the product just for experimenting after which threatening all another products they taken care of of your stuff seems just mean-spirited..What would you guys think about this Does DICE and EA have the right to do this Have you seen any hacked servers or mods for your beta Do you think hacking and modding for PC games is merely something publishers should relax a bit about Let me me know your thoughts in a very comment below.
